mention above, which isn t a bad thing.Clare is an aspiring architect and lives a pretty simple life, until a chance meeting with Sheikh Rafiq Al Kahil, an Arabian prince, who is known as the Playboy Prince Clare isn t aware Rafiq is a Sheikh until their second encounter When Clare mentions to Rafiq, she wants to become an architect, Rafiq uses that opportunity to get closer to Clare by hiring her firm to build his dream home in the desert At some point Clare over hears one of Rafiq conversations about her and she immediately starts turning down his advances After both Rafiq and Clare starts to have a blossoming relationship again, a secret engagement with Azizah, a Arabian princess threatens their relationship again. This read wasn t bad, I did like their first encounter when they first met, I thought it was very romantic and sweet Clare s friend Louise had me smiling as well during the first encounter of Rafiq and Clare In my opinion this read is very light If you feel in the mood for something romantic nothing hardcore then this could be your read.Storyline GOODEnjoyment FAIRLIKE us here www.Facebook.com romance.novel.junkies on FB Also join us on our FB group Romance Novel him When Clare learns the man is Prince Rafiq of Bahir, she realizes her new client and the work he offers may save the firm However, her budding romance with the Sheikh threatens to ruinthan just their deal.Katheryn Lane s The Royal Sheikh , is a light short romance novel that moves quickly As with most romance novels, there is some reason keeping our lovers apart duty to family, career aspirations and responsibility, position or station in life, feelings not shared by one of the parties, distance, personalities, conflicting beliefs, etc In The Royal Sheikh , however, both parties are very attracted to one another and all things being equal want to be together with none of the above mentioned issues The main problems keeping them apart are a series of frustrating misunderstandings regarding each other s motivations for their relationship is he just a playboy using her is she interested in him only to save her firm and so on The novel was entertaining and a good vacation read I enjoyed Clare s character a strong woman making her way in a man s world trying to make her mark at work while not denying herself a personal life A challenging balance for sure and Clare struggles with this but fights for what she believes For a different change of pace to the average romance novel, at 2.99 on Kindle, The Royal Sheikh is a good find Reviewed by JenBook Her Latin Lover, which wasn t bad, just a little lackluster So I figured I d better give her another try by reading The Royal Sheikh And I wasn t disappointed. The book is far from perfect I found Clare to be overly emotional for my tastes I kept wanting to reach into my Kindle and shake some sense into her But at the same time, given the whirlwind romance and exotic, high profile world she landed herself in, I believe that your average woman would likely be just as emotional. And then there s Rafiq He s the image of the rich, handsome, playboy prince that every girl dreams to meet and fall in love with It was interesting to watch Rafiq, not so much fight his feelings, but rather hide them and then stumble along as he screws up his relationship with Clare At times I wanted to smack him as well, when his domineering, stereotypical Arab male, side made an appearance But he made up for it in the end, so all was forgiven. The plot wasn t unique, but it had enough twists and turns to make it enjoyable I d like to see Ms Lane work on less telling andshowing meaningconversation in future books, as sometimes it felt we spent too much time in the character s heads and not enough time actually developing them and their relationship And a few times she veered into random peoples heads, which was unnecessary But overall, this was a good read and I d recommend to those who do enjoy the Harlequin Presents books I have to admit, my idea of romance novels stems from some pretty racy items I read in high school that I have sworn myself off I wasn t sure what to expect when a against the rich, jewel studded backdrop of his home country, Bahir. There are a few spelling issues that tripped me up a bit in my reading but the story made this a littleforgivable This is a sweet love story, pure and simple, with some unexpected but very believable twists In fact, this book may leave some readers wondering if perhaps one day something similar may happen to them I recommend worlds, but also the realistic conflict of learning to trust and how easy it is to believe the worst Ms Lane expertly played the sexual tension between these two characters at the risk of revealing too much, I ll leave it at that You ll just have to read it to discover what I m talking about Their passion was not limited to just physical attraction I loved how the author gave them the passion
