I quit halfway Good writing, but I never believed in any of the characters, and the animal cruelty turned my stomach Oklahoma Idaho comparisons, lots of alcohol and unhappiness Meh. When I first began reading this book I felt the author was trying to hard to have the sentences turned perfectly Also, I felt that it wasn t that original However, as I read on I began to enjoy itand it definitely had elements that diverged from what I thought would be the usual formula of younger man older woman Definitely an enjoyable read. Intriguing Kim s writing tends to leave me feeling empty, that I ve lost part of myself along the way, and they always seem to end on a sad note That said, it was an interesting story line that pulls you in. I first read this book in October 2003 and just finished it again today I still give it five stars. Relationship between two brothers Some interesting moments, not very good overall. It was okay, but I never think the sexual bond between a much younger man and a woman that s like 15 years older is or should be stronger than that between brothers.
