book has a bit of everything action, adventure, humour, sad moments, and lots of HOT love scenes.I liked how these series gives you an insight into the Arab world and the Iraq war Again, very original story with hot love scenes The pace is great The love story of Megan and Reed will keep you hooked Love their banter and how it develops into a deep, fobidden romance that must be kept secret. There were given 4 and 5 stars 04 October 2012Whew This was one of the most original stories I have ever read I loved it.Loved the romance and the way they fight their feelings, which is forbidden.I had to double check at one time that it was fiction because it did sound like a true story. It made me laugh, it made me mad, it made me gasp and it made me sad. This author is really gutsy to be taking on such issues and she goes there I find that refreshing and in These reviews are taken fromand were given 4 and 5 stars 04 October 2012Whew This was one of the most original stories I have ever read I like a movie. One the downside, it has a lot of violence, sex and lots of cussing, so if you re not into that, you may find it hard to handle.I guess it s a soldier we re talking about, so there will be all of that. Also some typos, but not enough to distract from the gripping story. Not as funny as The Wages of Sinead as this is aserious story.A great read.Four and half stars because of some typos.06 October 2012Loved this book I also read the 2nd book and it was just as good..It is so hard as a woman to imagine being a prisoner of war and be at the mercy of people who hate you and your country..The writer did a great job in keeping the story line goingI may read it again and I don t usually do that A Great Book June 6, 2012By SkittlesFormat Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseAfter reading Gringa, I became an instant fan of this author and waited impatiently for Captured I even emailed her asking when she was going to release it.It was worth the long wait Book one The story was wonderfully written and journeyed a soldier s time as a POW in the hands of Iraqi Militants It was very graphic at times and made me wince. The Heroine Megan is funny with a bit of a foul mouth but, but loveable and very very forgiving Perhaps a little too forgiving for me.The cast of characters were wonderful and entertaining , the bad guys were really bad and some moments in the book made me gasp.Eve Rabi has a tendency to go there and that s what I like about this author Her books are not for the faint heartedIt is a love story and a beautiful one at that I read it all in one sitting because I couldn t put the book down It is a story that will stay with me forever and I see a movie here cos it played out in my head like a movie I had to double check at one time that it was fiction because it did sound real.I m giving book one 4 stars, because of the typos etc However, I only paid 99 cents for it and the story was by far one of the best I ve read recently, so I didn t let the editing come in the way of a great story I will definitely buyfrom this author. This Review taken fromYep, yet again, I was too engrossed to stop reading that I managed to stay up telling myself just onechapter before bed 2 hours sleep before work isn t really substantial but it was worth it Was one of those books you can t put down Can t wait to read the next one from this author. This Review taken fromI came across this book while searching for something to read, it was free, so I figured if I didn t like it, I wouldn t be out of anything I loved this book The love they share is amazing I would of given this book 5 stars if the love sceens would of been better With the cover of this book, I expectedin the romance department Other than that, this is now one of my favorite books.NB Some of Eve Rabi s books may be free onand Smashwords As I raced through the two volumes of this book at breakneck speed, I kept wishing I was an editor at a big publishing house No, not because of the typos, though there were a few but because I d love to discover Eve Rabi and hand her a million dollar advance Because I feel in my gut that this could be the next big thing, the funny, female, 3rd breakneck speed, I kept wishing I was an editor at a big publishing house No, not because of the typos, though there were a few but because I d love to discover Eve Rabi and hand her a million dollar advance Because I feel in my gut that this could be the next big thing, the funny, female, 3rd millennium version of M A S H.Eve Rabi is an honest, natural story teller with an amazingly strong voice Her characters are real people, so alive that the externals of setting and historical events seem unimportant Her style is so natural, she seems unaware of the risks she s taking For one thing, the whole story is told in the present tense, a tough stunt to pull off It s like she s your best friend confiding in you about the terrible time she had and the sweet guy she met in the middle of it, and the eventerrible things that happened after that, not pausing to breathe or divide things up into convenient chapters so you can get a few hours sleep, for heaven s sake But no, apparently she s never heard of chapters Nor of giving the reader a rest between periods of suspense On the other hand, what are you complaining about, when the heroine, an American POW in Iraq, has to endure months of incarceration, terror, and worse I loved her ability to see both points of view, love with all her heart, and be funny about it all.Book 1 is relentless in its action and hilarious one liners Definitely 5 stars I d give Book 2 4 stars, because it s slower, less funny andharrowing than the first book.As a piece of literature, this probably has a million flaws But who cares It s a terrific story, told by a terrific story teller And isn t that what it s all about I only need to add that this is not my usual read It s full of four letter words and really explicit violence and sex When I m reading adult fiction, Jane Austen ismy cup of tea Genteel and well behaved, with a happy ending This is neither satisfying resolution, though , but it s very very human, funny, touching, likeable, absorbing, heroic, and altogether fascinating I absolutely loved this book I loved the humor and the wit but I didnt quite like the violence But I couldnt stop reading It s a great love story, but if you re looking for a romance book, a typical romance book, you will find it way to graphic But I couldnt put it down Amazing I love Eve Rabbi s books. After reading Gringa, I was keen to read this book I loved it Loved the romance and the way it was built up It was very beautifully done and I couldnt stop reading Another book full of violence, sex, foul language but it all fitted in.Eve Rabi s humor is rife throughout the story, which I love Not as funny as Gringa but equally moving I recommend it. I became a huge fan overnight I had a weekend of nothing but Eve Rabi books and loved every bit of it. this story was fantastic and kept me reading It s forbidden love told with humor and sensitivity I loved Megan s character she s fiesty, yet caring great book.
