her handsome tutor Asquith Anne has blossomed and is very much in love with her tutor but too scared to go against her mother when it comes to marriage Besides Anne thinks that Asquith is only after Rosings itself if he wants her at all Colonel Fitzwilliam quickly falls head over heels for a widow Mrs Sheffield and wants to come to her rescue when he learns that her brother in law keeps her from her lawful estate The dilemma begins for the Colonel he feels he cannot pursue Mrs Sheffield as he worries she will think he is only after her fortune whereas Anne is at the mercy of her mother which worries him also He is also not comfortable with the idea of Asquith tutoring Anne and his own past with Mrs Sheffield A true love story for at least 2 couples while we still enjoy the love between Darcy and Elizabeth Even Lady Catherine s reason for employing Asquith is highly entertaining I have much enjoyed this series and am onto the next book which will concentrateon Georgiana Another good book in the series Another day wasted I ve got to stop I need to put this Kindle down But I liked this story well as the first one in the series, and there are, so I anticipateproductive housework time is about to go down the drain Enjoy the adventure of Colonel Fitzwilliam and Anne deBourgh Several weeks after the end of the last book the Darcys again have visitors to Pemberley including Lady Catherine who is determined that Anne and Colonel Fitzwilliam will marry Both have other ideas.Thoroughly enjoyed the story, the characters and the style of writing Looking forward to reading the next overall it was a nice book but not as exciting as the first It was fun to watch Anne in this book grow stronger andconfident She actually stands up to her mother and has a suitor to top it all off The Colonel was referred to as Joshua and I did nt like that for his name He is also trying to be forced into marrying Anne He has his cap set for someone else Aunt Catherine was in love once Mr Collins were shown quite a bit in this book, of course still pregnant, and several times are caught displaying affection toward one another The problem I had was is that they slept in seperate bedrooms I realize this was common for the time and the upper class but come on we re talking DE The author, up this point, has impressesd me with writing her own unique style Some things were nt plauseable for the time period but with the proper direction it was captivating To believe a proper pair would frequently show affection and then sleep in seperate rooms just was nt believeable I hope thisis not going to be the beginning of her attempt to please others who are purists, no offense of course, because it just did nt sound as the rest of the authors work The end, once again, allows us to know that baby sister s romance is next to come along with an over protective, older brother I think the heir may be born as well I can t wait to read DE as parents and hope that the author stays true to the way she s written in the past and does nt try to hold things back from us Delightful story tellingThe series continues to entertain, bringinghappy endings to Pemberley Just enough drama and mystery to keep the reader engaged One minor frustration some closer editing would catch misspellings and wrong names I look forward to volume 3.
