injury that almost ruined Isaac s hockey career completely JD doesn t really seem sorry.not that he intentionally hurt Isaac but hockey is rough and accidents happen, right These two guys struggle through some anger, resentment, sexual attraction and annoyance as they move through the hockey season It s not an easy journey but these two eventually come to terms with their past and seem excited to start working towards a future.I really liked where the author chose to start the story You had time to figure out what the conflict was between Isaac and JD before they really met again on the ice playing for their new team Getting a glimpse of Isaac s boyfriend and seeing why they broke up really highlighted what Isaac was looking for in a guy He wanted someone in charge and someone confident enough to take the lead rather than have it handed to them Right away, you knew that JD was the kind of guy that would push Isaac s buttons I ll be honest I am a sucker for a good hockey romance And the author included just enough tidbits of actual hockey playing to keep me interested without it being overwhelming There was just enough angst between Isaac and JD to make their interactions fun without it being downright annoying I loved the verbal sparring and how the relationship developed They moved slowly from not quite enemies to almost friends to lovers The pace kept me engaged without it being rushed. You only get Isaac s point of view in this story and I did, honestly, want to see what was going through JD s mind during the book I definitely didn t get to know him as well as I wanted to The secondary characters that the author created were all well written and I wouldn t mind seeing a couple of Isaac s teammates in books of their own Crashing the Crease is a relatively short but very enjoyable enemies to lovers romance It s well written and Isaac and JD are incredibly sexy when they finally do get together.Definitely a book that I recommend reading, especially since the proceeds of the book go to support cancer research I needwhere that came from copy provided to bayou book junkie by the author publisher via Creative Minds in exchange for an honest review After J.D Bazin crashes into Isaac Spencer s crease and causes the goalie to have to have surgery on his knee Well, to say they hate each other is an understatement Now both being drafted by the Balti Badgers they are told to learn to be good teammates They take it a bit further by falling into bed and becoming very good teammates This was a quick and enjoyable read I adore a copy provided to bayou way into my heart as well This book was exciting, sweet, funny and hot It was well written and I love that with every V.L Locey book I learn a littleabout hockey, maybe I ll even tune in and watch one day This was a fun and easy read I can highly recommend Crashing the Crease is a fun, sexy short story It captures your interest from the very beginning I held my breath waiting for Spenser to get chosen for a team I could feel his up and down emotions with his relationship with David.I loved the tension between JD and Spenser, sending them on a hiking expedition to learn to get along was one heck of a brilliant Idea There is a lot going on in such a short story It s fun, witty and sexy and it s for a good cause so you have nothing to lose If you Crashing the Crease is a fun, sexy short really did After all, there is HOCKEY in it Unfortunately hockey cannot always save the day.One of the main protagonists was just way too much of an unapologetic asshole with no manners I tried to character Vic Kalinski actually had a couple of redeemable qualities that absolutely changed my perception in the end. Moreover, half way through the book became a horrible mix of cliches from hockey pro athlete environment puck bunnies, etc galore and unrealistic portrayal of potential issues or rather complete lack of thereof of being an openly gay hockey player Not to mention over the top macho bs interactions between the asshole J.D and the other main protagonist with emphasis on the asshole J.D And finally after so much angst, actual resolution of the main conflict took half a page It just seemed too shallow I mean, how do you even go from intentionally crippling somebody on one side and being intensely bitter and recentful over being crippled on the other to professing undying love in a span of couple of weeks, may be months I wish I did not have to resort to calling this whole thing a farce, butI do not regret spending money, since all proceeds are donated to charity, but overall reading experience was nonetheless quite a disappointment I guess I will continue waiting for the book 3 in Two Man Advantage series I absolutely love it and hope that upcoming book will not take a power forward for the opposing team, crashed Isaac s net, taking the goalie out of the play and out of the series with a knee injury that nearly ended Isaac s career Angry words flew back and forth between the players involved as well as the coaches, colleges, press, and fans After a grueling summer filled with surgery and rehab, Isaac fought his way back After graduating, the Balti Badgers drafted Isaac The Badgers also drafted J D Bazin, much to Isaac s dismay Isaac not only has to fight his disdain of the man who nearly ruined his career, he also has to battle the growing feelings that bubble up whenever J D is near Is it possible to forgive and forget or will animosity over the past be too much for either man to absolve All proceeds from the sale of Crashing the Crease will be
